Random pics - October 2016
A small selection of random pics taken - well, randomly - at the Euroa Arboretum in October 2016.

A truck with lots of plants returns from the Wool Week display

Headquarters! Where thousands of plants have been raised from cuttings; where petty criminals have sat while finishing off their 'community service' or 'CentreLink' volunteering; and where the passionate and generous have devoted their time to growing back the bush. The lunch table has seen many a good and bad cake and many strange dishes of weird seeds.
If these wall could talk . . . it would really only be of interest to those who'd been there . . .
A storage facility for faded black plastic things . . .
Inside one of the 'growing hangars' after most of the plants have been sold or otherwise distributed. Most sales happen over the Winter.
At the back of the Nursery - sort of Eastern side near the Freeway - is an area that has been marked off for expansion of the nursery with red and white tap and red flags. As of October 2016 it has been marked off with red and white tape and red flags.
The metal sculptures installed in 2009 are slowly rusting into historical character as they were meant to. Sadly the area is a little neglected sometimes due to there not being enough staff or volunteers to maintain everything.
Rushes are thriving in the wetlands after good Winter rain.
The improved - or trying to grow it back as it might have been pasture area is also greening after a wet winter.
The oblong pond and its accompanying mound. Among the better features of the arboretum.
